Other factors that can affect the cost of a new well are the type of well system (standard or constant pressure), the size of the tank, the horsepower of the pump, and the distance of the well to your house. Once the local Suffolk & Nassau Counties permit is granted and received, it typically takes about a week’s time to drill a new well. This process includes drilling the well, hooking it up, and testing the water. However, this timeline cannot be guaranteed, especially during summer.
